Prime Minister and First Lady to Attend Opening Ceremony of Angkor Sankranta

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen and his wife will attend the opening ceremony of Angkor Sankranta in Siem Reap.

The Prime Minister shared photos of his family, including grandchildren, ready to board a helicopter to Siem Reap through his official Telegram channel on Thursday morning, 13 April 2023.

"Bringing my wife, children and grandchildren with me to the opening ceremony of Angkor Sankranta in Siem Reap," he wrote.

It should noted that Angkor Sankranta was first held in 2013 and continued to be held annually until 2019. The festival was then put on hiatus for three years from 2020-2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

2023 also marks the 10th anniversary of Angkor Sankranta.
